A Strategy to Crack it
Staff Selection Commission has modified the Selection Procedure. SSC has brought the entire Graduate level exam under one umbrella called Combined Graduate Level. Combined Graduate Level is premiere amongst many other Group B and C exams conducted by the SSC.
The Scheme of the Examination is in three tiers as indicated below:
The enormity of syllabus and nature of questions, as well as diversity and expansion of subject matter have accorded much weightage to English Language and Comprehension. Especially this subject is very important for achieving success on Tier two format of exam. The multiplicity of number of questions in tier two exams manifests the importance of English Language; one really requires skill to crack this nut. A little deviation leads to disaster. Candidate must be cautious and attentive. Tier-I examination is being used to screen the candidates for appearing in Tier-II examination. However, marks of such screened candidates in Tier-I has been taken into account for final ranking of candidates for selecting them for the interview/skill test and also final selection.
Candidates should take it seriously that the journey begins from here only; if you want to get it to the final you should start you preparation right from this stage. There is negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in Tier I and Tier II Examination. Candidates are, therefore, advised to keep this in mind while answering the questions. CGL is never easy to crack you need a proper guidance, a great strategy and honest determination.
