(Result) SSC Junior Engineers Exam Paper I -2023 

Staff Selection Commission conducted Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical & Electrical) Examination, 2023 (Paper-I) in the Computer Based Mode from 09.10.2023 to 11.10.2023 at various centres all over the country. 

2. As Paper-I (Computer Based Mode) of the said Examination was conducted in multiple shifts, marks scored by candidates have been normalized as per the formula published by the Commission on its website on 07.02.2019. As per the provisions under Para 13.7 of the Notice of the Examination, normalised marks of the candidates have been used for processing the result to shortlist the candidates for the next stage of Examination (i.e. PaperII). 

3. In terms of Para-18.1 of Notice of the Examination, minimum qualifying marks in Paper-I have been fixed as 30% (i.e. 60 marks) for UR, 25% (i.e. 50 marks) for OBC/EWS and 20% (i.e. 40 marks) for all other categories.

4. Category-wise cut-off details and number of candidates shortlisted to appear in Paper-II (Computer Based Mode) of the Examination are as follows:

I. Civil Engineering:

*In addition to the UR candidates shown above 388-SC, 211-ST, 2926-OBC, 860-EWS, 03-OH and 01-HH candidates qualifying at UR cut off have been shown under their respective categories.

II. Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering:

*In addition to the UR candidates shown above 59- SC, 11-ST, 770-OBC, 191-EWS 01- OH and 01-Others-PwD candidates qualifying at UR cut off have been shown under their respective categories.

5. Paper-II of Junior Engineer Examination, 2023 is scheduled on 04.12.2023. The Admission Certificate of the shortlisted candidates will be uploaded on the websites of the respective Regional Offices in due course. 

6. Representations received from the candidates with regard to the Tentative Answer Keys have been carefully examined and the Answer Keys have been modified wherever necessary. The Final Answer Keys have been used for processing of result.

7. Final Answer Keys as well as marks of the qualified/ non-qualified candidates in Paper-I will be made available on the website of the Commission in due course.
