(Notification) MHA Intelligence Bureau : Assistant Central Intelligence Officer (ACIO) Grade II Technical Exam 2022

Intelligence Bureau (IB), a premier internal security agency under Ministry of Home Affairs, is looking for promising, dedicated, energetic young Graduate Indian Nationals with brilliant academic records & valid GATE score card of any of the years 2020 or 2022 to join the organization as:

Essential Qualification:

Candidates must possess valied GATE scorecard of GATE 2020 or 2021 Or 2022 in Electronics & Communication (GATE cade: EC) or Computer Science & Information Technology (GATE cade: CS) along with:
1.    B.E or B.Tech in the fields of: Electronics or Electronics & Telecommunication or Electronics & Communication or Electrical & Electronics or Information Technology or Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Computer Science & Engineering; from a Government recognized University/College/Institute.
2.    Master’s Degree in Science with Electronics or Physics with Electronics or Electronics & Communication or Computer Science; or Master’s Degree in Computer Application; from a Government recognized University/College/Institute.

Age Limit:

Minimum age Limit 18 Years
Maximum age limit 27 Years

Scheme of Examination:

Candidate has the option to provide his/her best GATE score from amongst GATE 2020 or 2021 or 2022.

  1. The interview is aimed to assess the candidate’s traits on two parameters i.e. Subject knowledge in relevant fields & Communication skills.
  1. The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of candidates combined marks obtained in Gate examination as will as in Interview.

Description of Post & Benefits:

Classification

General Central Service, Group ‘C’ (Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial)

Pay Scale

Level 7 (Rs. 44,900-1,42,400) in the pay matrix plus admissible Central Govt. allowances.

Note:

  1. Special Security Allowance @ 20% of basic pay in addition to other Govt. allowances.
  2. Cash comensation in lieu of duty permaned on holidays subject to a ceiling of 30 days.

Selection of Candidates:

a)    Candidates (10 times the number of vacancies) shortlisted on the basis of valid GATE score card will appear directly for the interview at Delhi.
b)    Candidate has the option to provide his/her best GATE score from amongst GATE 2020 or 2021 or 2022.
c)    The date, time & centre of interview would be in intimated to the shortlisted candidates by E-mail given by them in online application.
d)    Based on the combined score of GATE, Interview & Psychometric Test, the candidates would be shortlisted for final selection subject to their Character and Antecedent verification followed by medical examination etc.

How to Apply:

a)    Applications should be submitted only through ONLINE registration by logging on to the website www.mha.gov.in or www.ncs.gov.in. Applications will NOT be accepted through any other mode.
b)    Candidates can apply for the post provided they fulfill the prescribed eligibility conditions.
c)    The application portal will be operational from 16.04.22 & 07.05.22 (till 2359 hrs). Registration done prior to 16.04.22 & after 07.05.22 will not be accepted.
d)    Candidates should have a valid personal e-mail ID & mobile number. It should be kept active during the entire recruitment process.
e)    Registration number, password & all other important communications/alerts will be sent on the same registered e-mail ID.
f)    Candidates should upload the scanned (digit) image of their photograph and signature.
g)    Coloured photo of size 35mm (width) x 45mm (height) not older than 12 week should be uploaded. Black & white photo will not be accepted.
h)    Photo should be in light background. Light grey/white is suggested. No patterns.
i)    The face should cover 70-80% of the photo. The applicant should look straight at the camera with a normal expression.
j)    Avoid uniform of colours matching the background.
k)    If the applicant wears optical glasses, then his/her eyes should be fully visible in photo.
l)    The size of scanned image should be between 20-50kb in jpg/jpeg format only.
m)    The applicant has to sign on white paper with Black ink pen.
n)    The signature must be signed only by the applicant and not by any other person.
o)    Please scan the signature area only and not the entire page.
p)    The size of scanned signature should be between 10-50kb in jpg/jpeg format only.

Examination Fee:

Rs. 100/- (Rupees One Hundred only). Only male candidates blonging to General, EWS and OBC category are required to pay the fee. All SC/ST candidates, female candidates and Ex-Servicemen are exempted from payment of examination fee.
