It is hereby announced for the information of candidates who have appried for the 96 posts of Horticulture Development officer (Class-II) in Horticulture Department, Haryana in response to Advt. No. 5 (xiii)/20l8) published on 29.12.2018 that the commission has decided to hold Recruitment/Screening Test for the above said posts followed by viva-voce. Accordingly, the syllabus for the Screening/ recruitment test will be as under:-

Syllabus for the recruitmen t/shortlisting test:-

Scope. importance, nutritive value, area and production horticultural crops. Ecophysiological requirement. varieties' Horti-agro techniques, plant protection measures, cultivation practices,
special problems' maturity indices. ripening, harvesting, transportation, quality improvement,marketing, post harvest handling, packaging and storage of major fruits (citrus, mango, guava,
apple, ber, grapes, papaya, pineapple, banana, pomegranate, sapota, litchi, pear, peach and plum). vegetables (potato, tomato. chiIi. brinjal, cauliflower, cabbage, radish, carrot. onion.
garlic. peas, beans, methi, spinach, muskmelon. pumpkin, bittergourd. bottlegourd and okra) and flowers (annuals. rose, chrysanthemum. gladiolus, carnation. cacti and succulents).

Scheme of the Recruitment/Screening Test:-

The Examination shall be of two hour duration comprising 100 MCQs (Multiple choice Questions) in English Language only, carrying one mark each (total marks being 100). There
shall be no negative marking.
