(Result) Constables (GD) in CAPFs, NIA & SSF & Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles Examination, 2018

1.Staff Selection Commission conducted Constable (GD) in CAPFs, NIA, SSF and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles Examination, 2018 from 11.02.2019 to 11.03.2019 in the Computer Based Mode. A total number of 30,41,284 candidates appeared in the said examination. 

2. As per the Notice of examination, candidates have been shortlisted for PET/ PST in an approximate ratio of 1:10 (vacancy: candidates). Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Other Backward Classes (OBC) candidates securing less than 33% marks and Unreserved (UR) and Ex-Servicemen (ESM) candidates securing less than 35% marks have not been considered eligible for short-listing to the PET/ PST.

3. Representations received from the candidates regarding Tentative Answer Keys were carefully examined and Answer Keys were suitably modified, wherever required, and finalized thereafter. The final Answer Keys has been used for evaluation of performance of candidates in the Examination. 

4. In consonance with the Corrigendum issued by the Commission on its website dated 08-02-2019, short-listing of candidates for PET/ PST has been done on the basis of normalized marks scored by the candidates in the Computer Based Examination by using the formula published by the Commission through Notice No: 1-1/2018-P&P-I dated 07-02-2019. Final merit as well as selection of the candidates will also be made on the basis of normalized marks.

5. Category-wise (1-SC, 2-ST, 3-ESM, 6-OBC and 9-UR) break-up of the candidates provisionally shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the Computer Based Examination for appearing in the PET/ PST along with the Marks and Date of Birth of the last shortlisted candidates are as follows:

Female:-

List-I: Female candidates qualified against All-India vacancies (for SSF only):

 *Includes 30 SC, 5 ST and 188 OBC candidates provisionally qualified at UR standard.

List-II:  Female candidates qualified against State/ UT-wise vacancies for General District Area:

*Includes 2300 SC, 2190 ST and 10285 OBC candidates provisionally qualified at UR standard.

List-III: Female candidates qualified against vacancies reserved for Border District Area:

*Includes 751 SC, 768 ST and 1669 OBC candidates provisionally qualified at UR standard.

List-IV: Female candidates qualified against vacancies reserved for Naxal/ Militancy affected District Area:

*Includes 427 SC, 1506 ST and 3833 OBC candidates provisionally qualified at UR standard.

Male:-

List-V: Male candidates qualified against All-India vacancies (for NIA and SSF):

*Includes 1 SC and 19 OBC candidates provisionally qualified at UR standard.

# Includes 54 SC, 38 ST and 901 OBC candidates provisionally qualified at UR standard.

List-VI:    Male candidates qualified against State/ UT-wise vacancies for General District Area:

*Includes 13443 SC, 9802 ST and 77877 OBC candidates provisionally qualified at UR standard.
 
List-VII: Male candidates qualified against vacancies reserved for Border District Area:

*Includes 4218 SC, 2554 ST and 10390 OBC candidates provisionally qualified at UR standard.

List-VIII: Male candidates qualified against vacancies reserved for Naxal/ Militancy affected District Area:

*Includes 3157 SC, 8040 ST and 30877 OBC candidates provisionally qualified at UR standard.

6.Category-wise Cut-off details and number of candidates shortlisted against the vacancies of General District Area, Border District Area and Naxal/ Militancy Affected District Area are as follows:
 

6.1. Female:

i. Cut-off details of female candidates qualified against State/ UT-wise vacancies for General District Area are as given in Annexure-I.
ii. Cut-off details of female candidates qualified against vacancies reserved for Border District Area are as given in Annexure-II.
iii. Cut-off details of female candidates qualified against vacancies reserved for Naxal/ Militancy affected District Area are given in Annexure-III.

6.2 Male:

i. Cut-off details of male candidates qualified against State/ UT-wise vacancies for General District Area are as given in Annexure-IV.
ii. Cut-off details of male candidates qualified against vacancies reserved for Border District Area are as given in Annexure-V.
iii. Cut-off details of male candidates qualified against vacancies reserved for Naxal/ Militancy affected District Area are given in Annexure-VI.

6. As per the option exercised by the candidates in the Online Application Form, candidates belonging to SC, ST and OBC category, on migration from one State/ UT to another State/ UT have been considered in their respective reserved category if they have chosen to take benefit of reservation from the State/ UT of origin. Other-wise they have been considered as UR candidate from the State/ UT of their domicile as per the provisions of the Notice of Examination (Para-17.5).

7. RESOLUTION OF TIE CASES:

In the event of tie in the normalized marks scored by candidates in the Computer Based Examination, such cases have been resolved by applying following criteria, one after another in the given order, till the tie is resolved:
(a) Total marks in Computer Based Examination.
(b) Marks in Part-A of Computer Based Examination.
(c) Marks in Part-B of Computer Based Examination.
(d) Date of Birth, with older candidates placed higher.
(e) Alphabetical order of names (starting with first name)

8. Result of 34 debarred candidates have not been processed. Roll No. of these 34 candidates are as follows:

9. Any discrepancy with respect to the candidate’s data/ result may be brought to the Notice of the Commission by 31-07-2019 along with a copy of printout of the Online Application Form. Any such representation received after 31-07-2019 will not be entertained by the Commission.
10. Call letters to candidates qualified for PET/ PST will be issued by the Nodal CAPF i.e. CRPF, which will be conducted by the CAPFs.
11. Marks of the candidates will be placed on the Commission's website www.ssc.nic.in shortly
