SSC CGL 2025 Final Result Write-up (FTRA) – Key Highlights
1. Final Selection Status
- A total of 15,118 candidates have been recommended for appointment.
- Selection is done through First Round Tentative Allocation (FRTA) based on:
- Merit
- Post preference
- Category reservation rules
2. Exam Process Overview
- Tier-1 Qualified Candidates: 1,39,395 candidates
- Tier-2 Exam Dates: 18–19 January 2026
- Final merit list prepared after Tier-2 + skill tests (where applicable)
3. Allocation System (Very Important)
- SSC uses FRTA (First Round Tentative Allocation):
- Candidates are allotted posts based on rank + preference + availability
- After this:
- Sliding / subsequent rounds may happen to adjust vacancies and preferences
4. Category-wise Selection (Approx.)
- UR, OBC, SC, ST, EWS candidates selected as per vacancies
- Total selected = exact match with total vacancies (15,118)
5. Cut-Off Marks
- Cut-offs released post-wise and category-wise
- Separate cut-offs for:
- JSO (Junior Statistical Officer)
- Statistical Investigator
- Other posts
6. Important Factors in Final Merit
- Total marks in Tier-2 (main deciding stage)
- Preference of posts filled by candidate
- Reservation rules
- Tie-breaking rules (e.g., date of birth)
7. What is Sliding Round?
- If some candidates:
- Don’t join OR
- Get upgraded posts
- Then SSC runs “Sliding Round”:
- Candidates may get better preference posts later
Simple Understanding
Think of it like this:
- Rank list is prepared
- Candidates are allotted best possible post (FRTA)
- Later adjustments happen via sliding
Final Takeaway
- 15,118 candidates selected in SSC CGL 2025 final result
- Allocation is tentative first (FRTA), then adjusted
- Your rank + preference = final post
