SSC Clarifies : Pen and Watches remain strictly prohibited in All CBT Exams

This has reference to the Notice dated 21st June, 2017 published by the Commission regarding prohibited items.

2. The following three Examinations, namely,

  • Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination, 2016 (TierII) on 9th July, 2017.
  • Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Quality Surveying Contract) Examination, 2016 (Paper-II) on 30th July, 2017.
  • Lower Division Grade Limited Departmental Competitive Examination, 2017 (Paper-II) on 30th July, 2017.

are Descriptive Examinations, and therefore, the candidates appearing in any of these examinations would be allowed to carry their pen and wrist watch only for the said examinations.

3. However, it is reiterated that for the other examinations, to be conducted, in the computer based mode, by the Commission in the month of July, 2017 namely,

  • Sub-Inspectors in Delhi Police, CAPFs and Assistant SubInspectors in CISF Examination (Paper-I) 2017 – from 1st July, 2017 to 7th July, 2017.
  • Selection Posts Examination, 2017 (Graduation Level) on 16th July, 2017.
  • Lower Division Grade Limited Departmental Competitive Examination, 2017 (Paper-I) on 30th July, 2017.
  • Steno Grade ‘C’ Limited Departmental Competitive Examination, 2017 on 30th July, 2017.

pen and watches would continue to remain strictly prohibited as indicated in the list of prohibited items communicated vide Notice dated 21st June, 2017.
