F. No. HQ-C-3019/1/2026-C-3: Staff Selection Commission will hold an open Competitive Examination for recruitment to the various posts of Junior Engineer for Organizations/ Offices of the Government of India. The Examination shall also be conducted for the recruitment of Scientific Assistant in India Meteorological Department (IMD). The posts are of Group ‘B’ in Level-6 (Rs. 35400-112400/-) of the Pay Matrix of the 7th Central Pay Commission.

How to Apply:

Candidates who are interested and eligible for the SSC Junior Engineer Examination 2026 can submit their application form online through the official website of the Staff Selection Commission (SSC). The application process consists of One-Time Registration (OTR) followed by filling out the online application form.

Steps to Apply for SSC JE 2026

Candidates can follow the steps given below to complete the SSC JE 2026 application process:

Step 1: Visit the Official Website

Visit the official website of the Staff Selection Commission at ssc.gov.in.

Step 2: Complete One-Time Registration (OTR)

Candidates who have not already registered on the new SSC website must first complete the One-Time Registration (OTR) process. The OTR generated on the old SSC website will not be functional on the new website.

Candidates should keep their basic personal details and required documents/information ready before starting the registration process.

Step 3: Login to Your SSC Account

After completing OTR, log in to the SSC website using your registration credentials.

Step 4: Select SSC JE 2026 Examination

Go to the examination/application section and select Junior Engineer Examination, 2026.

Step 5: Fill in the Application Form

Enter all the required details carefully, including:

  • Personal details
  • Educational qualification
  • Category details
  • Examination centre preferences
  • Post/department preferences, wherever applicable
  • Other required information

Candidates should carefully verify all details before submitting the application form.

Step 6: Upload/Provide Required Details
