List of The Candidates Qualified in Written Exam for Interview
- For recruitment to the post of Indian Information Service (Group ‘B’ non gazetted) an open examination was held on 22.07.2012 at different centers across the country.
- Based on cut-off fixed in Paper-I, a total number of 1546 candidates qualified and were considered for evaluation of Paper-II. Out of 1546 candidates, 49 were found to be absent in Paper-II while 04 candidates were awarded zero marks as they have not appended their signature on answer sheet. Remaining 1493 candidates who were appeared in Paper-II were considered against vacancies for different languages. The Commission applied and follow cut offs in Paper-II for various languages posts with a view to having candidates in the ratio of 1:4 approximately (vacancies to candidates).
- Based on such cut-offs in Paper-II and after removing common
candidates for different languages, following are the category-wise details
of the 492 candidates found qualified for Interview:-

Horizontal reservation and, therefore, not included in total.
** Apart from the figure shown above, there are candidates of reserved category
qualifying at UR cut-offs applied language-wise.
Note :
Category/Preferences of candidates have been taken from the Data sent by SSC, KKR and used at the time of evaluation of Paper-I.
Some candidates have qualified for Interview for more than one language.
Candidates who are qualifying for Interview for more than one Language will be required to appear for Interview only once.
- Details regarding language-wise cut-offs in Paper-II and the
categorywise candidates available in the official notification below.
- For candidates belonging to reserved categories for whom certain
percentage of vacancies are reserved as per policy of the Government, the
category status is indicated against their roll numbers. It is important to
note that some of these candidates have been declared qualified for
the category mentioned against their roll numbers. If any candidate
does not actually belong to the category mentioned against his/her
name, he/she may not be eligible to be called for Personality
Test/Interview. It is, therefore, in the interest of the candidates
concerned to immediately contact the Karnataka Kerela Regional Office
of the Commission in all such cases where they do not belong to the
categories against their Roll numbers. Similarly, in case of discrepancies
between name and roll number of any candidate and language options or unable
to download it from the regional website, it should be brought to the
notice of the regional office concerned immediately.
- Tentatively, the interview is expected to commence from 16.10.2012.
Qualified eligible candidates who do not receive call letters for the
Personality Test/Interview by 08.10.2012 should immediately thereafter
contact the concerned regional offices of the Commission.
