The Sector Adm IsG of CRPF as mentioned below will conduct an examination for Recruitment of Male and Female Indian citizens who are ordinarily resident of their respective states to fill up the vacancies of Constables (Technical & Tradesmen) i.e Driver/Fitter/Bugler/Tailor/Brass Band/Pipe Band/ Cobbler /Carpenter/ Gardner/ Painter /Cook / Water Carrier/ Washer(Men/Women)/ Safai Karamchari / Barber/ Hair Dresser in Central Reserve Police Force as per the Recruitment Scheme/ Rules formulated by the Ministry of Home Affairs. Trade wise vacancy of each state as mentioned in para/3 of this advertisement notice is purely tentative and may increase/decrease at any time/stage of recruitment process due to administrative reasons. The recruitment process will consist of Physical Standards Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Documentation, Written Examination, Trade Test and Medical Examination

EDUCATIONAL/TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS
CT/DVR:
- Education Qualification: Minimum matriculation / Xth class pass or equivalent from a recognized Board, or university recognized by the Central or State Govt.
- Technical Qualification: Should possess “Transport Vehicle (Heavy)” driving license and pass the driving test at the time of recruitment
CT/MMV* (*Mechanic Motor Vehicle):
Education Qualification: Minimum matriculate or 10 class pass in 10+2 examination system from a recognized board or equivalent.
Technical Qualification: Possessing 02 years Industrial Training Institutes (ITI) certificate in Mechanic Motor Vehicle recognized by National or State Council for Vocational training or any other recognized institution and one year practical experience in the field of concerned trade OR National or State apprenticeship certificate in Mechanic Motor Vehicle Trade of three year duration from a recognized institution and one year practical experience in the field of concerned trade.
For all Tradesmen
- Education Qualification: Minimum matriculation / Xth class pass or equivalent from a recognized Board, or university recognized by the Central or State Govt.
- Technical Qualification: Must be proficient and worked in respective trades.
Physical Standard
Height
- Male: 170 Cms
- Female: 157 Cms
Chest
- Unexpended : 80 Cms
- Expended: Minimum Exp.5 Cms
- For Female: Not Applicable
Weight
For males and females: Proportionate to height and age as per medical standards and Govt. insructions.
Age Limit:
For CT/DVR:
Between 21 to 27 years. The crucial date for determining the age will be 1 st January 2017. {Candidate should not have been born earlier than 02/01/1990 and not later than 01/01/1996 (including the day of 02/01/1990 & 01/01/1996)}. Relaxable in respect of the candidates for SC/ST/OBC and other special categories of personnel in accordance with the instructions issued by Central Government from time to time.
For all other posts (CT/Tech & Trades except CT/DVR):
Between 18 to 23 years. The crucial date for determining the age will be 1 st January 2017. {Candidate should not have been born earlier than 02/01/1994 and not later than 01/01/1999 (including the day of 02/01/1994 & 01/01/1999)}. Relaxable in respect of the candidates for SC/ST/OBC and other special categories of personnel in accordance with the instructions issued by Central Government from time to time.
(Note: -Candidates should note that Date of Birth as recorded in the Matriculation/Secondary Examination Certificate or an equivalent certificate will only be accepted by the CRPF for determining the age and no subsequent request for its change will be considered or granted)
METHOD OF SELECTION:
All candidates applying for the recruitment and prima-facie eligible will be asked to appear in Physical Standards Test, Physical Efficiency Test and documentation. Detailed scrutiny of their eligibility will not be undertaken before PET/ PST & documentation. Therefore, it will be the responsibility of the candidate to verify their eligibility as prescribed in this notice before appearing for PST/ PET & documentation.
PHYSICAL EFFICIENCY TST
To ensure smooth, transparency, accuracy and minimize human error, force will exercise its discretion to employ adequate measures and modernized means for conduct of PET event.
a) HEIGHT BAR AND 05 KMS RACE (QUALIFYING NATURE): FOR THE POST OF CONSTABLE (DRIVER & FITTER/PTR/COBLER/CARPENTER/TAILOR/ Brass BAND/ Pipe BAND/MALI/BUGLER/) - MALE CANDIDATES ONLY
At the very beginning, candidates will be asked to go through the height bar and thereby, candidates with lesser height will be eliminated and will not be allowed to participate in further process of recruitment and will be given rejection slip intimating reasons for rejection. Those candidates who qualify the height bar will be subjected to 05 Kms race to be completed in 24 minutes by male candidates and 1.6 Kilometer race by female candidates during 8.30 minutes. For the Ladakh region, PET will comprise of 1 mile race (for male) and 800 meters (for female) to be completed within 6.30 minutes and 4 minutes respectively.
Note:- The candidate (s) who do not qualify the race will be eliminated and will not be allowed to participate in further process of recruitment and will be given rejection slip intimating reasons for rejection.
b) FOR ALL OTHER POSTS EXCEPT AS MENTIONED AT/a ABOVE – MALE AND FEMALE CANDIDATES.
At the beginning of the recruitment process, candidates will be subjected to one mile race (1.6 Kms) to be completed as under:-
- Male candidates - In 10 minutes
- Female candidates - In 12 minutes
Exam Syllabus:
The candidates who qualify in PST/PET & Documentation will appear in written test and informed in writing on the day of PST/PET & Documentation. Admit Card to the candidates, who qualify PST/PET & Documentation will be uploaded in the website i.e. www.crpfindia.com by mentioning date & venue on which they are required to appear for written test. Qualified candidates may download their call letter/admit card through said website i.e. www.crpfindia.com. The written test will be as under:-
(i) The written test will be conducted on OMR basis.
(ii) The written test will be of 100 marks consisting of two parts, i.e. Part-I
- Knowledge expected from a Class – 10 pass candidates (for 40 Nos) and Part-II
relating to knowledge of the Trade(for 60 Nos). The cut-off percentage of marks
for qualifying in written exam will be as under:-
- General : 35 %
- SC/ST/OBC : 33 %
(iii) Part-I and Part-II of Question Paper will consist of 100 objective type multiple choice questions carrying 01 mark each to assess the following:

(iv) The questions will be set both in Hindi and English. Accordingly, the
paper can be answered in any one of these languages.
(v) Questions in Part-I & II are to be answered using a blue/ black ball pen.
(vi) The duration of the Written Test will be 02 hours.
(vii) No representation for revaluation of answer sheet of written exam or
re-conduct of written examination will be entertained.
(viii) Candidates should bring clip boards and blue/black ball pens for written
examination.
(ix) Candidates are not permitted to use Mobile phone, calculators or any other
electronic/electrical device. Candidates, therefore, must not bring these
devices inside the examination premises. Possession of these items, whether in
use or not, will be considered as “use of unfair means” in the Examination and
appropriate action will be taken against such candidates.
HOW TO APPLY:
The application must be submitted ONLINE only. No application will be accepted offline. As already mentioned at Para-1(i) above, the facility of submitting online applications is available on website www.crpfindia.com. Procedure for online submission of application is also available in said website. However same incorporated in Annexure-I. Candidature of the candidate who submitted application offline will be rejected summarily.
