(Notification) Grade ‘C’ Stenographers Limited Departmental Competitive Examination, 2015
No. 3/3/2015-P&P-I The Staf Selection Commission wil hold a Limited Departmental Competive Examination on 31.05.2015 at DELHI, ALAHABAD, MUMBAI, BANGALORE, KOLKATA, GUWAHATI, CHENNAI, CHANDIGARH AND RAIPUR for making aditons to the Select List for Grade ‘C’ Stenographers of the folowing Services/Cadres, subject to availabilty of confirmed number of vacancies:-
(i) Central Secretariat Stenographers Service Grade ‘C’;
(i) Stenographers Cadre of Indian Foreign Service (B) Grade-I;
(i) Armed Forces Headquarters Stenographers Service Grade ‘C’;
(iv) Railway Board Secretariat Stenographers Service Grade ‘C’;
(v) Election Commission of India Stenographers Service Grade ‘C’;
(vi) Central Vigilance Commission Stenographers service Grade ‘C’;
Conditions of eligibilty:-
Any regularly apointed Grade ‘D’ or Grade-I employee of the Central
Secretariat Stenographers Service/ Stenographers Cadre of Indian Foreign Service
(B)/ Armed Forces Headquarters Stenographers Service/Railway Board Secretariat
Stenographers Service/Election Commission of India Stenographers Service/Central
Vigilance Commission Stenographers Service who satisfies the folowing conditons
shal be eligible to apear at the
examination and wil be considered for vacancies in his/her service only. For
example, Grade ‘D’ Stenographers of the Railway Board Stenographers service wil
be eligible only for vacancies in Grade ‘C’ of the Railway Board Secretariat
Stenographers Service.
Age: Limit-
Candidates should not be more than 50 years of age on the crucial date.
Scheme of Examination:
i) The subjects of the writen examination and the maximum marks for each subject will be as follows:-
PART-A: WRITEN EXAMINATION

Wherever, necessary the written examination may be held in two shifts.
Note I: -Questions relating to General awareness will be set both in
Hindi and English. There will be no Question Paper in Braile for Visually
Handicapped candidates.
Note I :- The Commission reserves the right o conduct written examination
on-line.
Note I:- There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong
answer in written examination.
PART B: SHORTHAND SKIL TEST IN HINDI OR IN ENGLISH (FOR THOSE WHO QUALIFY IN THE WRITTEN EXAMINATION)- 20 MARKS.
PART C: EVALUATION OF RECORD OF SERVICE OF SUCH OF THE CANDIDATES, AS MAY BE DECIDED BY THE COMMISSION IN THEIR DISCRETION ON THE BASIS OF PERFORMANCE IN WRITTEN EXAMINATION AND STENOGRAPHY SKILL TEST, CARRYING A MAXIMUM OF 10 MARKS.
How to Apply:
Application form must be completed in the candidate’s own handwriting. Al entries/answers should be in words and not by dashes or dots. Complete application form should be sent to the Regional Director (NR), Staf Selection Commission, Block No.12, C.G.O. Complex, Lodhi Road, New Delhi-10504, so as to reach him/her by the last date prescribed in the Notice.
