Direct Recruitment of Postman/ Mail Guard

Applications are invited from the eligible applicants for filling of vacancies of Postman/Mail Guard

Mail Guard (Total Posts: 03)

Salary : Rs.5200-20200 with Grade Pay Rs.2000 + Admissible Allowance.

Age Limit : 18-27 Years

Education Qualification: Matriculation from any recognized Board or university.

Pattern & Syllabus of Examination :

The Applicants shall be subjected to an aptitude test with a total 100 marks covering the following subjects/topics. Aptitude Test will be comprising following parts [A/B/C(i)/C(ii)].

The total duration of the aptitude test will be 2 hrs(120 minutes). There is no negative marking.

Part   Syllabus
A General Knowledge (25 Marks with 25 Questions)  Topic : Indian Geography, Indian Culture & Freedom Struggle, Civics, Indian Economy, General Science, Current Affairs and Reasoning & Analytical Ability of 10th Standard.
B Mathematics (25 Marks with 25 Questions)  Topic : Percentages, Ration & Proportion, Profit & Loss, Simple Interest, Average, Discount, Partnership, Time & Work and Time & Distance
C.(i). English  Topic : Articles, Prepositions, Conjunctions, Tenses, Verbs, Synonyms & Antonyms, Vocabulary and Questions from a small unseen passage.
C (ii). Regional Language (Hindi) [25 Marks with 25 Questions]  Topic

Selection Process:

The Minimum Qualifying Marks to be obtained in each part of Aptitude Test : -

OC : 10 Marks in each Part & 40 in Aggregate

SC/ST : 8 Marks in each part & 33 in aggregate

OBC : 9 Marks in each part & 38 in aggregate

The Final Merit list shall be prepared on the basis of the aggregate marks obtained by the applicants in the Aptitude Test.

Application Fee: Rs.100 and the sale will be through all head Post offices in the circle. The Applicants belonging to General & OBC categories have to pay the prescribed examination fee of Rs.400/- and should be deposited in a Post Office of the Rajasthan Postal Circle Through e-payment.
