(News) OSSC : Online recruitment tests, 2014
Online Recruitment Tests by Odisha Staff Selection Commission
In a bid to eliminate human error and bring in more transparency in its recruitment tests, the State is all set to introduce online tests for the Government sector jobs. The Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) which has ushered in the computer based recruitment tests (CBRT) will conduct the first examination on February 23.
The online recruitment tests will replace the conventional and inflexible optical mark reader (OMR)-based examination.
The recruitment test, being held on pilot basis, will be conducted for the position of Field Assistants, a technical post under the Department of Handlooms and Textiles.
The CBRT process, OSSC says, will leave no scope for leakage of question papers at any stage as the websites will remain frozen till the examination hour starts.
The questions will be uploaded in encrypted manner eliminating any chances of leakage. Similarly, results can be declared soon without waiting for months.
Candidates will be frisked during entry to the examination centre and bio-metric prints will be taken to stamp out impersonation.
