Interview For The Post of “Library Clerk (General)” For O/o National Library, Ministry of Culture, Department Of Culture

 Interview for recruitment to the Selection Post of “Library Clerk (General)”, Group ‘C’ for O/oNational Library, Ministry of Culture, Department of Culture, Kolkata, advertised vide category No.ER-07 of Advertisement No.ER-01/2013 will be held on 6th and 7th June 2013 in Kolkata. Brief particulars of the Post and Interview Schedules are given below.

Essential Qualification:

• Matriculation or equivalent from a recognised institution, and

• A certificate in Library Science from a recognised institution.

Age Limit: 18 - 25 years as on 11.02.2013 (Age relaxation is admissible as per Instructions) Category: Considering only OBC (reserved) vacancies, only OBC candidates are eligible.

Candidates have been shortlised for interview on the basis of marks obtained in the prescribed EQ(i) viz.Matriculation or equivalent from a recognised institution. All prima facie eligible OBC candidates with 65%
or above marks in the prescribed E.Q.(i) have been called for interview subject to fulfilling all conditions of eligibility with particular reference to the Essential Qualification, Age Limit and Category (only OBC candidates are eligible) as prescribed for the above mentioned post in the Notice of the Examination /Recruitment and published in the Employment News / Rozgar Samachar dated 12 - 18 January, 2013.

Applications of following candidates have been rejected.

• Incomplete applications with no valid Advertisement No. and/or Category no.

• Applications of candidates who did not indicate relevant category code pertaining to prescribed EQ viz. Matriculation and/or have not given percentage marks pertaining to the prescribed EQ.

• Applications of candidates belonging to UR, SC and ST

• Applications of candidates with less than 65% marks in the prescribed EQ as claimed in paragraph 17 of their applications.

• Applications of candidates with 65% or above marks in the prescribed EQ as indicated in paragraph 17 of their applications, (a) who are ineligible or (b) not submitted requisite documents along with their applications or (c) failed to submit requisite fee in prescribed mode or (d) are disqualified on other grounds.
