Recruitment of Inspector, Assistant Sub-Inspector & Constable Posts - 2013

Applications for the following posts are invited from Indian nationals. The category wise break-up of vacancies, pay scales and eligibility conditions are mentioned below.

Inspector (Computer):

• Number of Posts : 01

• Pay Scale : PB-2 Rs. 9300-34800 + Grade Pay Rs. 4600/-

• Age : Not exceeding 32 years as on 01.01.2013. Upto 37 years for Govt. Servants. For Ex-servicemen, as per orders/instructions issued by the Central Government from time to time.

• Educational Qualification :
  a) Master’s Degree in Computer Application/ Computer Science from a recognized University or equivalent
  b) M. Tech (with specialization in Computer Application) from a recognized University or equivalent.
  c) B.E./B. Tech in Computer Engineering/Computer Science/Computer Technology from a recognized University or equivalent.

Sub-Inspector (Computer):

• Number of Posts : 03

• Pay Scale : PB-2 Rs. 9300-34800 + Grade Pay Rs. 4600/-

• Age : Not exceeding 32 years as on 01.01.2013. Upto 37 years for SC candidates.

• Educational Qualification :
  a) Degree in Computer Applications/ Computer Science from a recognized University or equivalent.
  b) 01 year experience in Electronic Data Processing Work including experience of actual programming.

Asstt. Sub-Inspector (Radio Technician) :

• Number of Posts : 41

• Pay Scale : PB-2 Rs. 9300-34800 + Grade Pay Rs. 4600/-

• Age : 20 to 27 years as on 01.01.2013 relaxable by 3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC/ST, Upto 35 years (38 years for OBC, 40 years for SC/ST) for widows/divorced women and women judicially separated from their husbands and who are not re-married. Upto 30 years (33 for OBC, 35 for SC/ST) for departmental candidates of Delhi Police. Ex-Servicemen as per rules.

• Educational Qualification :
  a) Matriculation with Science and Mathematics from a recognized Board or its equivalent.
  b) Three years diploma in Electronics/Communication from a recognized Institute.
  c) Experience of one year in the repair and maintenance of wireless, telephone and other telecommunication equipments from a Government Department/Public Sector Undertaking/reputed communication organization.

Asstt. Sub-Inspector-Shorthand Reporter (Hindi):

• Number of Posts : 02

• Pay Scale : PB-1 Rs. 5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs. 2800/-

• Age : 18 to 25 years as on 01.01.2013. Upto 35 years widows/divorced women and women judicially separated from their husbands and who are not re-married. Upto 30 years for departmental candidates of Delhi Police. Ex-Servicemen as per rules.

• Educational Qualification :
  a) Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent from a recognized board at the time of filling up of application form.
  b) Speed in Hindi Shorthand : 80 words per minute.
  c) Speed in Hindi Typing : 25 words per minute.

Head Constable (Store Clerk):

• Number of Posts : 17

• Pay Scale : PB-1 Rs. 5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs. 2400/-

• Age : 20 to 27 years as on 01.01.2013 relaxable by 3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC/ST, Upto 35 years (38 years for OBC, 40 years for SC/ST) for widows/divorced women and women judicially separated and who are not re-married. Upto 30 years (33 for OBC, 35 for SC/ST) for departmental candidates of Delhi Police. Ex-Servicemen as per rules. 

• Educational Qualification :
  a) Passed 10+2 (Senior Secondary/Intermediate) pass from a recognized Board with science or equivalent.
  b) Minimum 2 (Two) years practical experience from Public Sector Undertaking/reputed commercial organizations in the field of radio stores work procedure including indenting, accounting, payment of bills and important returns etc. and thorough knowledge of radio/electrical/electronics spare parts, accounting and indenting Radio spare parts.
  c) English Typing speed of 30 W.P.M. or Hindi Typing Speed of 25 W.P.M.

Constable (Bugler)-Male :

• Number of Posts : 10

• Pay Scale : PB-1 Rs. 5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs. 2000/-

• Age : 18 to 21 years as on 01.01.2013

• Educational Qualification : 10+2 (Senior Secondary pass from a recognized Board at the time of filling of application form.

Constable (Band Man)-Male :

• Number of Posts : 10

• Pay Scale : PB-1 Rs. 5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs. 2000/-

• Age : 18 to 21 years as on 01.01.2013 

• Educational Qualification : 10+2 (Senior Secondary pass from a recognized Board at the time of filling of application form.

Constable (Mounted)-Male :

• Number of Posts : 11

• Pay Scale : PB-1 Rs. 5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs. 2000/-

• Age : 18 to 24 year as on 01.01.2013 for OBC candidates.

• Educational Qualification :
  a) Matric/Higher Secondary/10th of 10+2 pattern from a recognized Board at the time of filling of application form.
  b) Relaxable upto 9th pass only for:-
     i) Bandsmen, drivers, despatch riders, etc.
    ii) Sons of serving, deceased, retired police personnel including category ‘D’ employees of Delhi Police.

Application Fee:

Candidates has to pay the application fee of Rs.100/- drawn in the form of demand draft/ banker’s cheque in favour of DCP/Recruitment Cell, New Police Lines, Delhi.

Application Form:

Application forms shall be available to the candidates in the following way: -

• Application form shall be available “on-line” on Delhi Police Websites www.delhipolicerecruitment.nic.in  & www.delhipolice.nic.in  Candidate can feed the required data, take the print out and send it to Post Box No 8020, New Delhi-110033 after completing the required formalities e.g. affixing a recent photograph, putting his/her signature, attaching the Demand/Bank Draft/Banker's cheque of Rs. 100/- in the name of the DCP/Recruitment Cell, Delhi.

• Printed application forms would also be available in Employment News. Candidates can cut it out, fill it up and send to Post Box Number 8020, New Delhi-110033.

• The application form printed in the Employment News or downloaded from the Delhi Police websites www.delhipolicerecruitment.nic.in & www.delhipolice.nic.in can be typed/photocopied on A4 size paper. It can be sent to Post Box Number 8020, New Delhi-110033 after filling it up and attaching the Bank Draft of Rs. 100/- in the name of DCP/ Recruitment Cell, Delhi.

Selection Process:

Candidates will be selected based on the performance in physical endurance & measurement, written, trade, typing test on computer and computer formatting test.
