Applications are invited from eligible Male Indian citizens of India for filling up the following Group ‘C’ Combatised, Non-Gazetted (Non-Ministerial) posts in tradesmen cadres in SSB for the year 2011 in the pay scale of Rs.5,200-20,200 + Grade Pay Rs.2,000 Per month plus usual and admissible allowances to Central Government employees including ration allowance, medical assistance, free uniform, free accommodation, free leave passes etc. The posts have all India transfer liability and selected candidates can be posted anywhere in India and abroad according to the transfer policy of the Force. On appointment, the candidate shall be governed by SSB Act and Rules. Last date of receipt of application is 15-06-2011 for all states except for Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Ladakh Division of Jammu and Kashmir State, Lahaul and Spiiti District and Pangi Sub-Division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep for which the last date is 22-06-2011.

Pay Scale : (Pay Band – 1) : Rs.5,200-20,200 + Grade Pay Rs.2,000/- per month.
Age Limit : 18 to 23 years (Cut-off date for age will be 15-06-2011)
Educational & Other Qualifications for all posts: Matriculation or equivalent form a recognized Board or Institute. and Two years work experience in respective trade; OR One year certificate course from a recognized Industrial Training Institute or Vocational Institute with at least one year experience in the Trade OR Two years Diploma from recognized Industrial Training Institute in the trade or similar trade. Must qualify trade test .

Selection Process :

The eligible candidates shall be issued Admit Cards to appear in recruitment tests. The date and place of recruitment test will be indicated in the Admit Card. The Candidates will have to undergo the following documentation test and other tests:-
 Documentation :
The candidates who report at the designated recruitment centre on the given date and time will be first summoned to submit their call letter and other documents in original for verification of age and educational qualifications etc. Original documents will be returned on the spot after verification. Candidates should bring attested photocopies of documents as mentioned above.
Physical Measurement (PST) : Candidates who are found eligible on screening of applications will be screened first medically as per para (5) under heading ‘Physical Standard’ mentioned above.

•  One Mile ( i.e. 1600 meters) race to be completed in ten minutes.

• 11 feet long jump (maximum three chances).

• 3.5 feet high Jump (maximum three chances).

Documents required for submitting Application:

• Application form on the prescribed format duly filled in Hindi or English.
• Attested copy of Date of Birth Certificate as per Matriculation Certificate.
• Attested copy of educational qualification certificate from recognised school /institution
• Attested copy of technical qualification certificate issued by the recognised institute or ITI relating to post.
• Attested copy of related certificate of experience issued by employer / institute / body recognised by Govt. of India / State Govt.
•  Attested copy of relevant category (SC / ST / OBC) and domicile certificate. Attested copy of OBCs as mentioned in the list by Govt. of India are only eligible for reservation as OBC candidates. Caste Certificate of SC / ST / OBC issued by the Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tehsildar or equal competent authorities as designated by the concerned states is valid. SC/ST/OBC Candidates must submit caste certificate on prescribed format as per Annexure – IV (for SC / ST) and III for OBC.
• Attested copy of Discharge certificate in case of Ex-Servicemen.
• Attested copies of certificate issued by District Collector for children / dependents of victim killed in 1984 riots and riots of 2002 in Gujarat.

Application Fee: Application Fee will be Rs.50/- (Non-refundable) for candidates belonging to General and OBC category only and no fee will be charged from SC / ST and Ex-Servicemen candidates
