( General Instructions For Candidates )

The Maharashtra State Power Generation Company Limited (MAHAGENCO), the State Power Generation of Govt. of Maharashtra and largest Power Generation in Maharashtra State requires dynamic, talented and professional persons for the following posts:

Total No. of Posts:

• Junior Engineer : 444

• Sub Engineer: 178

Age Limit :

• Junior Engineer : 33 years (As on 31/08/2012)
• Sub Engineer: 33 years (As on 31/08/2012)

Educational Qualification:

Junior Engineer: B.E. from university or Institute in India established or incorporated by or under Central Act or State Act or any other qualification recognized as equivalent to i.e. AMIE with any one of the above branches.

Sub Engineer: Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics/Instrumental from university or Institute in India established or incorporated by or under Central Act or State Act or any other qualification recognized as equivalent to i.e. AMIE with any one of the above branches.

For Education, Experience 16th September 2012 will be considered as bench mark date.

 Percentage of intake for each stream will be decided by the Management.

Selection Procedure:

• Prescribed qualification / experience are minimum and mere possession of the same, does not entitle the candidate to be called for online test /personal interview. The candidates will be short listed for personal interview by applying suitable criteria.

• The number of vacancies and reservation for backward classes indicated for different categories is provisional and likely to change. Such change will not be notified either in Newspaper or intimated to the candidates.

• Candidates applying for the posts advertised should ensure that they fulfill all eligibility criteria. Their admission at all the stages of the recruitment process will be purely provisional subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility criteria mentioned in this advertisement. Company will take up verification of eligibility conditions with reference to original documents only after the candidate qualifies for interview.

• Those reserved category candidates who compete with the Open category candidates will be treated as Open category candidate for the purpose of recruitment/selection process.

• The selection process will be tentatively conducted in the month of October-12. It will consist of Online Test & Personal Interview. The Online Test will be tentatively conducted end of October-12, followed by Interview to be conducted mid- November-12.

• Online test may be conducted at different locations, Mumbai, Nagpur, Nasik depending upon the number of candidates at each location. However, incase candidates appearing for the online test at a particular place are not adequate, such candidates may be asked to appear for the test at other center.

• The list of candidates called for selection process and selected for the posts  advertised will be published on the Company’s website www.mahagenco.in from time to time.

• If the number of applicants are large, then a suitable criterion will be fixed to short list the applicants for online test.

• The recruitment in MAHAGENCO is done strictly as per merit in a systematic way giving weightage to all tests mentioned in point 5 above.

• Candidates are requested to make the payment of fees online through the link provided while filling the application form online. No other mode of payment of Fees will be accepted.

• Post Code and Post applied for must be clearly written on the envelope. Incomplete applications and those not supported by attested copies of certificates (duly attested by Govt. Gazette Officer/ Principal of Colleges/Post Master) are liable to be summarily rejected.

• Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidate.

Application Charges:

• For online Payment transaction there will be additional 5.0 % Bank charges.
• Candidates applying under Physically Handicapped Category need not Pay the Application Fee, provided they submit the Medical Certificate from appropriate authority.
• Candidates belonging to open category will have to pay the fees as mentioned in above.
• Candidates from Backward Class categories (including SC, ST) i.e. the candidates belonging to VJ(A), NT-B,NT-C/NT-D, SBC & OBC who are coming under the concept of “Non-Creamy Layer” shall pay the fees as mentioned in column 03 above.
• The candidates not submitting the caste certificate issued by the Competent Authority of Maharashtra State and "Non-Creamy Layer" certificate along with application in case of VJ (A), NT-B,NT-C/NT-D, SBC & OBC will have to pay the fees as mentioned in column 02 above, and they will be treated as Open category candidates for all purposes.
• Applications with less Payment of fees than prescribed are liable to be summarily rejected.
   

How To Apply :

• The online Application form consists of Five segments viz. Personal Details, Payment, Qualification Details and Experience Details and Check List.
• After completely read the instructions, at the Bottom you will find options for "New Registration" (for new user) and for "Registered User Name" (for an existing applicant) available.
• In the Application form fields marked with (*) are mandatory. Unless you fill this information, it won't allow you to save the form.
• The data in the field "Date of Birth" mentioned in Personal details should match with (Date of Birth mentioned in) School Leaving/Birth Certificate. If there is any mismatch during physical verification of the documents sent by you, your candidature would stand cancelled.
• You have to provide a valid email id and mobile number while filling up the Online Application Form. The email id should be active for next six months. Please check the emails regularly for communication from the MAHAGENCO. MAHAGENCO will not be held responsible for failure of delivery of email sent to the candidate.
• After clicking on "SAVE" in Personal details, if you have entered all mandatory information correctly, the system shall send you an email containing your registration id and password. You will then be required to retrieve this data and log on in to the system in order to proceed further.
• Once you submit the Personal Details, you can't be modify/Edit the Personal details.
• After you log in using your Registered User Name and password provided to you, you will be able to pay the fees through online payment transaction & fill in the data in the remaining tabs. You can save the data periodically. You can take multiple log in sessions before you completely filling up the entire e-form. During this process, you can go back and forth, review the details entered by you, and make corrections, if required to the data already filled in and saved.
• Please "PREVIEW" and "MODIFY" the form before submitting, as once you "SUBMIT" the form, it won't allow you to modify any field.
• Once the form is submitted, the candidate needs to take print out of Application form.
• The Last date of filling the online application form is 16th September, 2012.
