(News) Bihar SSC Clerk Exam Paper Leak: A bigger racket than ‘Bihar Topper Scam’ under investigation


Bihar paper Leak: The initial police investigation in the latest paper leak case in Bihar might prove to be bigger than even the ‘topper scam.’ A special investigation team which was leading the case has allegedly pointed towards a connection between government officials, dalals, and examinees. While the exam was cancelled at Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s behest because of the exam paper being leaked on social media. Subsequently, Secretary of Bihar State Staff Selection Board Parmeshwar Ram was detained.

All four phases of the examination which were being held for the post of panchayat secretary, revenue workers, clerks and assistant were cancelled. The first two phases of were held on January 19 and February 5 while the next two phases were to be held on February 19 and February 26. The leak has hampered the future of over 18 lakh examinees competing for over 9600 lower grade government jobs in the state.

As soon as the news of the leak spread, the police tracked down 5 people and arrested them from a rented flat in Nawada. Producing an explanation on their part, the Commission dodged every allegation against them, but CM Nitish Kumar did not take any answer and has ordered for a full-fledged probe to unearth the truth.
