Border Security Force
Applications are invited from male/female Indian citizens for appointment to various posts of Para Medical staff Group ‘B’ & ‘C’ (combatised) in Border Security Force, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India in the pay scale as mentioned against each post plus DA & other allowances as admissible from time to time. The posts are temporary but likely to become permanent. Selected candidates are liable to be governed by BSF Act and Rules.
ASI (Pharmacist- Qualified)
Total Posts: 31
Pay Band Plus Grade Pay : Rs.5200-20200/- Grade Pay- 2800/-
Age Limit: 20-30 Years (The crucial date for determining the age limit shall be the closing date for receipt of applications from candidates)
Education Qualification:
- 10+2 or equivalent
- Diploma in Pharmacy from any recognized Institution of the Central or a State Govt. for which the period of Training in two years followed by an internship of which the practical training shall not be less than five hundred hours spread over a period of not less than three months. Provided that not less than two hundred and fifty hours are devoted to actual dispensing of prescriptions.
- Possessing the qualifications under Section 31 & 32 of the Pharmacy Act, 1948 and registered under Section 33 of the said Act.
Assistant Sub Inspector (Lab Technician)

Pay Band Plus Grade Pay : Rs.5200-20200/- Grade Pay- 2800/-
Age Limit: 20-30 Years (The crucial date for determining the age limit shall be the closing date for receipt of applications from candidates)
Education Qualification: B.Sc Plus Diploma/Certificate in Medical Laboratory Technology from a recognized Institution of Central or State Government.
CT (Masalchi) / (Table Boy)

Pay Band Plus Grade Pay: Rs.5200-20200/- Grade Pay- 2000/-
Age Limit: 18-23 Years (The crucial date for determining the age limit shall be the closing date for receipt of applications from candidates)
Education Qualification:
- (a) Pass in Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board;
- (b) (i) Two years work experience in respective trades;
(ii) One year Certificate Course from a recognized Industrial Training Institute or Vocational Institute with at least one year experience in the trade; or
(iii) Two years Diploma from recognized Industrial Training Institute in the trade or similar trade. - (c) Must qualify the trade test.
Note:- Multi-skilled candidates will be given preference.
CT (Peon)

Pay Band Plus Grade Pay: Rs.5200-20200/- Grade Pay- 2000/-
Age Limit: 18-23 Years (The crucial date for determining the age limit shall be the closing date for receipt of applications from candidates)
Education Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board with knowledge of Cycling.
Physical Standards
For the Post of ASI (Pharmacist) & ASI (Lab Technician)

(a) Visual standard should be 6/6 to right eye and 6/12 left eye or 6/9 both eye without optical device.
(b) The candidates must not have knock knees, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and they should possess high colour vision. The candidates will be tested for colour vision by Ishahara’s test as well Edrich-Green Lantern Test. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.

Selection Procedure:

2. Physical Measurement as per prescribed physical standard.

4. Interview (50 Marks) – Candidates who secure minimum qualifying marks in the written examination will be allowed to appear for the interview.
5. Written Examination
6. Medical Examination- Candidates who secure minimum qualifying marks in the interview will be subject to medical examination so as to assess their fitness for appointment in BSF as per laid down standards. The medical examination will be held immediately after completion of interview at the respective centres.
Application Fee:
- The male candidates applying for the Recruitment should enclose a ‘Postal Order’ or ‘Bank Draft’ for Rs.50/- as examination fee to be drawn as per details given at above para. SC/ST and Female Candidates are exempted from the examination fee.
- Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.
