The Chief Commissioner of Income-tax (CCA), Ahmedabad, invites applications for the recruitment of meritorious persons in different games / sports for various Income Tax Offices situated in Gujarat. The Chief Commissioner of Income-tax (Cadre Controlling Authority), Ahmedabad invites applications from Indian citizens for the recruitment of meritorious sportspersons in different games and sports, as listed below, for the posts of Inspector of Income-tax in the pay scale of Rs.9300-34800/- (Grade Pay Rs.4600/-), Tax Assistant in the pay scale of Rs.5200-20200/-(Grade Pay Rs.2400/-) and Multi Tasking Staff in the pay scale of Rs.5200-20200/- (Grade Pay Rs.1800/-). The probation period will be of 2 (two) years.

Inspector of Income tax

Total Posts: 03

Age Limit: 18-27

Education Qualification: Degree of a recognized university or equivalent

Tax Assistant

Total Posts: 15

Age Limit: 18-27

Education Qualification: Degree as above and Data Entry Speed of 8000 key depression per hour

Multi Tasking Staff

Total Posts: 10

Age Limit : 18-25

Education Qualification : Matriculation equivalent from a recognized University / Board

Sports Eligibility:

Appointments can be made of a sportsperson in any of the games/sports (as mentioned in para (5) considered meritorious with reference to the following criteria:

Sports-persons having represented

1. The Country in an International Competition,
2. A state in a National Competition.
3. Their University in the Inter-University Tournaments conducted by the Inter-University Sports Board.
4. The State Schools Team in the National Sports / Games for schools conducted by All India School Games Federation; or
5. Sportsperson, who has been awarded National Awards in Physical Efficiency under National Physical Efficiency Drive.

How To Apply:

Applications must be submitted in the format given in Annexure-ll and addressed to the ITO (PR), O/o Chief Commissioner of Income-tax (CCA), Room No.44, Ground Floor, Aaykar Bhavan, Ashram Road, Ahmedabad-380009, Gujarat, by post / by hand so as to reach the office on or before 17.05.13 (up to 5.00 p.m.).

The envelope containing the application shall also be super scribed as

"APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ……………….. UNDER MERITORIOUS SPORTS PERSONS QUOTA / SPORTS CODE-………………”
