Recruitment of Law officers Grade II in BSF on Deputation Basis/Absorption/Re-Employment Basis

It has been proposed to fill up the post of Law officers Grade II (Combatised) ,Group 'A' Gazetted post in the border security force on deputation / absorption / re-employment basis

Law Officer (Grade II):

Pay Scale: Pay Band - 4 (Rs. 15600 - 39100) +Grade Pay Rs. 6600 /-

Age: Not Exceeding 56 years

Eligibility Conditions for Appointment on deputation/absorption basis:

  • Serving BSF Officers with graduation in Law and 6 years Group A service with minimum 3 years experience in legal affairs OR
  • A law graduate in Central/State Govt. services holding analogous post and having not less than six years experience in legal affairs OR
  • A member of the state Judicial service having six years regular services OR
  • A Commissioned officer with six years regular service and having 3 years experience in legal affairs in the Department of Judge Advocate General in the Armed Force of the Union. OR
  • An Officer having Degree in Law and experience of six years as a prosecution Counsel in the pay scale of Rs. 8000-13500(pre-revised) under the Central or State Government
By re-employment: Retired/released officers in Army, Navy and Air force who held the analogous post before retirement and possessing following qualifications, having break in service not more than two years.
    Essential:
  • Degree in Law
  • Six years experience in legal affairs
  • Should be Qualified for the enrollment as an advocate
    Desirable:
  • A post Graduate Degree in Law
  • Two years experience in dealing with the trial under special laws relating to the Armed Forces

How to Apply:

  • The officers who are in medical category SHAPE-I as specified in BSF Manual-IX shal be eligible for the appointment. The officer so appointed will be governed by the BSF Act and Rules during the period of his deputation / absorption / re-employment and liable to be posted anywhere in India.
  • The other terms and conditions on deputations will be as per the provisions contained in Govt. of India, Ministry of Personal Public Grievances & Pension (Deptt. Of Personnel & training) letter No. 6/8/09-Estt (Pay.II) dated 17/06/2010 as amended from time to time.
