Recruitment For The Posts Of Sub Divisional Engineer (Civil/Electrical), PPSC

The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) has been established under Article 315 of the Constitution of India, with the basic purpose of recruiting officials in various departments of the Government as per the requisitions sent by the Government in this regard from time to time. The Punjab Public Service Commission invites Online Applications from eligible Candidates for recruitment to the Twenty Five Posts of Sub Divisional Engineer (Civil/Electrical) in the Department of Public Works (B&R), Government of Punjab
Note: This Advertisement is being published as per requisition received from the Department of Public Works (B & R), Government of Punjab vide their letter No. 2/24/07-B&R 1(4) /1382 dated 05-6-2012 and No. 2/24/07-B&R 1(4) (Part file) /2175 dated 22-8-2012 and is subject to any modification or amendment that may be made by the Government subsequently.

Vacancy Details:

The number of vacancies is 25 and the breakup is as follows:

Sub Divisional Engineer (Civil): 22 Posts
Sub Divisional Engineer (Electrical)): 03 Posts

The Candidates should indicate in the Application Form, the reserve category for which they want to be considered. The number of vacancies and reservation of posts is liable to alteration without any notice.

PAY SCALE: Rs.15600-39100 +5400/- Grade Pay.

Essential Qualification:

Should possess a degree in Engineering in Civil/ Mechanical from a recognized University or Institution. Punjabi of Matric or its equivalent Standard.

Age Limit:

(i) Candidate should not be below 18 years and above 38 years of age on the 1-1-2012.
(ii) Upper age limit may be relaxed up to 48 for all States/ Central Government employees.
(iii) The Upper age limit is relaxable upto 43 years for Scheduled Castes of all States and Backward Classes of Punjab only.

Application Fee:

Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes of all States and Backward Classes of Punjab : Rs. 125/-
Ex-Servicemen of Punjab: No Fee to be paid
All Others Categories (including Lineal Descendent of Ex-servicemen, Punjab) : Rs. 500/-
Physically Handicapped : Rs. 250/-

The Examination fee must be submitted alongwith the print out of Online Application Form duly signed by the candidate. The Examination fee shall be in the form of SINGLE Demand Draft in original issued by a branch of State Bank of India or State Bank of Patiala, drawn in favour of the Secretary, Punjab Public Service Commission, payable at Patiala. The Application Forms received without a valid Bank Demand Draft or with inadequate examination fee shall be summarily rejected. The examination fee is non-refundable

How to Apply:

The candidates can ONLY apply by filling Online Application Form, a link of which is available on the website of the Commission www.ppsc.gov.in
Candidate must write his/her Post Applied For, Registration Number, name and address in BLOCK LETTERS on the reverse of the Bank Demand Draft.
The printout of the filled Online Application Form alongwith demand draft and relevant documents must reach office of Secretary, Punjab Public Service Commission Latest by 5.00 pm on 21st January, 2013.
