Education Qualification:
1. Scientific Officer 'E' Group ‘A’ Post
Ph.D. in Metallurgical Engineering Materials Engineering with B. Tech. (Metallurgy)/M.Sc. (Physics/Chemistry/Materials Science) with minimum 60% marks in the respective discipline from a recognized University.
2. Technical Officer 'E' Group 'A' Post
Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) with minimum 60% marks in Chemical from a recognized University.

Experience:
1. Scientific Officer 'E' Group ‘A’ Post
Post-doctoral research experience of minimum 4 years in the field of advanced electron microscopy especially on using state of the art:
1. Aberration corrected Scanning Transmission Electron Microscope (STEM),
2. Electron energy loss spectroscopy (EELS) including fine structure analysis HAADF and ADF Imaging and analysis
3. High resolution TEM 4. Simulation of images and necessary analysis
2. Technical Officer 'E' Group 'A' Post
Nine years of relevant experience after obtaining the requisite qualification.
Scop of Work:
1. Scientific Officer 'E' Group ‘A’ Post
1. Modern Transmission Electron Microscopy
2. The candidate should be able to independently carry out different levels of preparation of the specimens including focussed ion beam assisted TEM lamellae preparation, carry out TEM STEM alignments and observations, recording the images and analyse data. Experience in handling engineering alloys of relevance to reactor systems, analysing low Z elements (viz., B), characterising oxide structures and interfaces will be added advantage.
2. Technical Officer 'E' Group 'A' Post
The candidate is required to carry out modelling of multi-phase systems involved in the nuclear fuel reprocessing via computational fluid dynamics (CFD) approach covering liquid-liquid extraction and other separation processes. It is envisaged that the separation process will be simulated using CFD model coupled with population balance models in a complex multiphase system comprising solid, liquid and air phases. Due to the requirements of the department, the candidate will be expected to carry out two/multi-phase simulations either through licensed commercial solvers, open source or in-house developed code. The candidate will be expected to engage in experimental activities and assist the design testing/validation protocols. Once the fundamental models are developed and validated, the recruited candidate may undertake advanced multiphase modelling of other problems encountered in nuclear reactors and reprocessing. The candidate is also required to participate in various human resource, equipment procurement and maintenance activities as and when required by the Department of Atomic Energy.
Method of Selection:

1. The Process of selection involves Personal Interview. In case of receipt of considerable number of applications online/offline screening test will be conducted. The test will be of two hours duration comprising 75 objective type questions in the respective subject. Each question shall carry 3 marks for correct answer and one negative mark for incorrect answer.
2. Marks scored in the screening test will be used for shortlisting the candidates for personal interview.
3. Final selection list shall be on the basis of the marks secured in the personal interview.
2. Technical Officer 'E' Group 'A' Post

How to Apply:
1. Facility for submission of online application will be available from 15-04-2021 at 10:00 am to 14-05-2021 23:59 pm on website of IGCAR i.e. www.igcar.gov.in under the tab "Recruitment".
2. Applications will be accepted only through online mode. Only one application should be submitted for one post. Candidates should submit separate application for each post, if they intend to apply for more than one post.
3. Candidate should read the instructions in the advertisement and online application form carefully before making any entry or selecting any option.
4. Before filling application form, candidates should keep ready the necessary documents/certificates required. Candidate is required to fill up personal details and details of post applied for etc. and upload recently taken front facing passport size photograph.
5. A valid e-mail ID and Mobile Number is mandatory for submitting application online and email ID should be kept active till the declaration of results. IGCAR will send call letter for written test/skill test/trade test/physical test/driving test/interview to the registered/given e-mail ID or candidates may be required to download the Admit Card from the website of IGCAR. No correspondence will be sent through post/courier.
6. Date, Time, Venue for various stages examination will be intimated through Admit Card only.
7. The candidate must ensure that their photo and signature is clearly visible in preview at the time of filling application in online mode. If photo/signature displayed is small or not visible in preview on website, that means photo/signature is not as per the required format and in that case the application will be rejected. Therefore candidates must ensure that photo and signature are clearly visible.
8. Instruction for uploading Photo and Signature; Photo: Image should be of size 165 x 125 pixels in jpg/jpeg format and should not exceed 50 KB with name and date at the bottom of the photograph.
Signature: Image should be of size 80 x 125 pixels in jpg/jpeg format and should not exceed 20 KB

10. Before clicking the submit button, the candidate is advised to check that all the details filled in are correct. Candidate may also ensure that name, date of birth, etc. are entered correctly in the application form as per Secondary School Certificate (SSC). Any incorrect information may disqualify candidature. After final submission of application no request for change/correction in any of the information in the application form shall be entertained under any circumstances.
11. After submitting the online application form candidates are required to take print / save copy of the online application form and preserve it till the certificate verification/all the selection process completes.
12. Candidates applied for the posts of Scientific Officer/E, Technical Officer/E, Scientific Officer/D are required to forward hard copy of their application along with one set of document mentioned in Para XII to Assistant Personnel Officer (Rectt.), Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research, Kalpakkam - 603102, Chengalpattu District, Tamil Nadu by speed post so as to reach on or before 20-05-2021.
