Recruitment For Section Officer & Private Secretary

A Limited Departmental Competitive Examination for, drawing up a select panel for filling up vacant posts of Section Officer and Private Secretary in the pay band of PB-2 Rs. 9300-34800 + Grade Pay of Rs. 4800 falling under "Limited Departmental Competitive Examination Quota" at the Headquarters of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) will be conducted by. the Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board (ASRB) at New Delhi on 13th - 14th August, 2013 in accordance with the rules issued by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). The dates of the examination are tentative and liable to change. The exact date, time and venue of the examination will be intimated to the candidates in their Admission Certificates.

The Limited Departmental Competition Examination for the post of Section Officer will be confined to the Assistantsl Personal Assistants/Sr. Sales Assistants at the ICAR Headquarters who have completed five years of regular service in the grade as on 1st January, 2013.

The Limited Departmental Competition Examination for the post of Private Secretary will be confined to the Personal Assistants at the ICAR Headquarters having Bachelor's Degree who have completed three years regular service as on l't January, 2013.

The rules containing scheme of examination, syllabi and application form are also available on ICAR website www.icar.org.in  and ASRB website www.asrb.org.in Interested persons who are eligible to appear in the aforesaid examination may send their applications in the prescribed application form through proper channel so as to reach the undersigned latest by 17th June, 2013.

Scheme of limited Departmental completive examination For the post Of Section officer! Private secretary

These are the Examination Rules for the Limited Departmental Competitive Examination to be conducted by the ASRB/ICAR Institutes for the purpose c {filling up the posts of. Private Secretary at ICAR Hqrs and ICAR Institutes / Section Officer at lCAR Hqrs falling under LDCE quota.

The number ([ vacancies to be filled on basis([ the resultsrf. the examination will be specified in the Notice issued by the ASRB/ICAR Institutes. Reservations will be made for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes in respect a the vacancies as may be fixed by ICAR in accordance with the Government of India instructions on the subject.

The examination shall be conducted according to the following plan:

Part - I

• Written examination carrying maximum of 500 marks in the subject.
• A qualifying Shorthand test in Hindi or English at 100 w.p.m. for Private Secretary only

Part - II

• Who obtain such minimum qualifying  marks in t be written examination as may be fixed by the ASRB / lCAR Institutes at their discretion (for S.G. and P.S.).
• Who obtain such minimum qualifying marks in the shorthand test as may be fixed by the ASRB / lCARI nstitutes at their discretion (for P.S.)
