Vacancy Details:

Name of the Post:

  1. English Stenographer (Group-B)
  2. Bengali Translator (Group-B)
  3. Bengali Typist (Group-C)
  4. Night Guard (Group-D) (Women are not allowed for this post)
Pay Scale:

  • Scale of Pay: Rs.7100-37600/- plus Grade pay of Rs.3900/- English Stenographer (Group-B)
  • Scale of Pay: Rs.7100-37600/- plus Grade pay of Rs.3600/-  Bengali Translator (Group-B)
  • Scale of Pay: Rs.5400-25200/- plus Grade pay of Rs.2600/-  Bengali Typist (Group-C)
  • Scale of Pay: Rs.4900-16200/- plus Grade pay of Rs.1700/-  Night Guard (Group-D)

Total Seats:

  • total vacancy is -01 (OBC) for English Stenographer (Group-B)
  • total vacancy is -01 (S.T) for Bengali Translator (Group-B)
  • total vacancy is -02 (S.C-01, UR-01) for Bengali Typist (Group-C)
  • total vacancy is -09  for Night Guard (Group-D)

Age:

Not less than 18 years and not more than 37 years as on 1st January, 2013 for the posts of Group-B and Not less than 18 years and not more than 40 years as on 1st January, 2013  for the post of Group-C and D . Relaxation of age limit for five years in case of SC/ST. and for three years for OBC candidates. The upper age limit for Physically candidates, is 45 years. Relaxation of age limit in case of Ex-Serviceman Category – as per existing Government Rules. For the post of English Stenographer, there shall be no age limit for persons holding permanent posts of Typist or Steno-Typist under the Government.

Application fees :

  • General-Rs.200/- for Posts of Group-B and Group-C ( Rs. 50/- for SC/ST )
  • General-Rs.100/- for Group-D ( Rs. 25/- for SC/ST )

Note: The appointment will initially be made on a purely temporary basis but is likely to be made permanent for all categories of Posts.

Eligible candidates may submit legible handwritten or typed (one side of the paper) single application for any of the aforementioned post as per format given in the official notification, addressing to the District Judge and Chairman, District Recruitment Committee, District Judge's Office, Cooch-Behar, within 5.00 p.m. onor before 08-03-2013.
