Applications in prescribed format are invited from MALE / FEMALE Indian Citizens ordinarily resident of the States of PUNJAB,HIMACHAL PRADESH, CHANDIGARH(UT),JAMMU & KASHMIR,DELHI,HARYANA, and RAJASTHAN to FILL UP the vacancies in the rank of Constable (Technical/Tradesmen) i.e., Driver / Fitter / Bugler / Tailor / Brass Band / Cobbler / Carpenter / Gardener / Painter / Cook / Water Carrier / Safai Karamchari / Barber / Washer Men/Women in Central Reserve Police Force.

Constable

Salary : Pay Band-1 (Rs.5200 – 20200) Plus Grade Pay of Rs.2000/- plus usual allowances as admissible to Central Govt. employees from time to time.

Age Limit: Between 18 to 23 Years as on 01/8/2012. Candidates should not have been born earlier than 02/08/1989 and not later than 31/07/1994.

Education Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board/ University.

Technical Qualification:

For Driver : Should possess “Transport vehicle driving license and pass the driving test.

For Fitter : Should possess a certificate from ITI or any other recognized institution in the trade of Auto mobiles fitter/ motor mechanic and should have one year experience. However, wards of CRPF, who have undergone training in ITIs run by CRPF will be exempted from one year practical experience. Their technical knowledge and aptitude for the job should be considered for their enrolment in CRPF.

For Other Trades i.e., Bugler / Tailor / Brass Band / Cobbler / Carpenter / Gardener / Painter / Cook / Water Carrier / Safai Karamchari / Barber / Washer Men/Women – Should be proficient in respective trades.

Physical Standard:

For Male Candidates Only

  • HEIGHT 170 Cms for General candidates.
  • 165 Cms for the candidates falling in the categories of Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas and candidates belonging to the States of Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Assam, Himachal Pradesh and State of Jammu & Kashmir.
  • 162.5 Cms for Scheduled Tribes.

For Female Candidates Only

  • HEIGHT 157 Cms for General candidates.
  • 155 Cms for the candidates falling in the categories of Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas and candidates belonging to the States of Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Assam, Himachal Pradesh and State of Jammu & Kashmir
  • 150 Cms for Scheduled Tribes.

Chest (Only For Male Candidates) :

  • 80(Unexpanded) - 85 Cms (Expanded) for General Candidates.
  • 78 (Unexpanded) - 83 Cms(Expanded) for the candidates falling in the categories of Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas and candidates belonging to the States of Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Assam, Himachal Pradesh and State of Jammu & Kashmir.
  • 76 (Unexpanded) - 81 Cms(Expanded) for all candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes.

WEIGHT : Corresponding to Height and Age as per medical standards for Male and Female.

Written Test:

The candidates who qualified in PST/PET above will be required to appear for written test comprising of two parts as mentioned below:-

PART-I : Consists of 50 objective type questions carrying 1 mark each to assess the (i) General awareness/General knowledge, (ii) knowledge of elementary mathematics, (iii) Analytical aptitude, (iv) Ability to observe and distinguish patterns and to test the (v) basic knowledge of the candidates in English/Hindi. The question papers will be bilingual can be answered in Hindi or in English. The standard of question papers will be of a class 10 passed candidate.  - 50 Marks

PART-II : Trade test will be separate for each trade and will consist of both objective/ multiple choice type questions to assess the knowledge of respective trade for which a candidate has applied. - 50 Marks

The written test will be for 100 marks and for 2 hours duration. The paper will have to be answered either in Hindi or English only. Part-I & II to be answered using a pen only and use of pencil will not be allowed.

Application Fee:

Application fee of Rs. 50/- ( Rupees fifty only ) in the form of Indian Postal Order duly crossed/ Demand Draft/ Banker’s Cheque purchased after the date of publication of this advertisement in favour of DIG, Group Centre, CRPF of concerned Application Receiving Centres identified for their respective States mentioned below be sent by General and OBC candidates along with the application form. No application fee is required to be paid by SC/ST candidates,Ex-Servicemen and Mahila candidates.
