Scheme for Internship for Post-graduate/Research Students

The Central Statistics Office (CSO) in the National Statistical Organization wing of the Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation (MOSPI) is operating a scheme of Internship for Postgraduate/Research Students of Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/ Operational Research/ Economics/ Demography or any of the applied field of Statistics of recognized Universities/Institutions. The scheme for 2013-14 is as follows:

Aim & Scope:

  • To facilitate the student either pursuing the post-graduate/research in statistics to study and get familiarize with the prevailing system of Official Statistics in the Country;
  • The total number of internships would be 210 on all India basis as per the following distribution in two broad groups:
