How to Apply

If the thought of living in the middle of supersonic jets and state-of- the-art warfare technologies makes your adrenaline go up, then its time for you to find out how you can be in the middle of all this action.

You start by sending us your application.
The procedure for sending your application is fairly simple. The first stage is to watch out for the advertisement inviting applications in the leading newspapers and the Employment News. After you spot the relevant ad, you send us your application in the format mentioned in the advertisement, before the last date of receiving of application.

Then you go through our Selection Procedure.
We have a thorough selection procedure to ensure that we pick out the very best to be a part of our team. This procedure begins as soon as we receive your application.

FLYING BRANCH

Application Details

The time of release of advertisements varies for the different modes of entry for the Flying Branch. You can refer to the following schedule to know when to expect the advertisement and where to send your application.

Application Format

You are required to send us your application, in a particular format which is prescribed in the advertisement..

• NDA (NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY) (FOR MEN ONLY)
• CDSE ( COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICES EXAMINATION) (FOR MEN ONLY)
• NCC( SPECIAL ENTRY (FOR MEN ONLY)
• SHORT SERVICE COMMISSION FLYING BRANCH ( FOR MEN & WOMEN)

• The candidates applying for the SSC Flying Branch are to apply through the Air Force Common Admission Test ( AFCAT).
  The advertisements for the SSC Flying branch will appear during January & July every year.
• You are required to send us your application in a particular format. The Format of the AFCAT Application is available in the advertisement. You can also download the AFCAT Application format from our website at the time of release of the advertisement.
• Note : Please remember that your applications should be sent to the concerned Command Head Quarters (the postal address mentioned in the advertisement). Online application will not considered and invalid.”
• The advertisements for the AFCAT will release during December / June every year.

TECHNICAL BRANCH

Application Details:

You can apply to the Technical Branch through the University Entry Scheme or the Direct Entry Scheme. The advertisement for the two schemes is released in the month of December every year and for the Direct entry in the month of December and June every year.

The candidates applying for the Technical Branches are to apply through the Air Force Common Admission Test ( AFCAT). You can refer to the following schedule to know when to expect the advertisement for AFCAT exam and where to send your AFCAT application.

• Direct Entry Scheme
• University Entry Scheme

The advertisements for the course will appear during January & July every year.

• You are required to send us your application in a particular format. The Format of the AFCAT Application is available in the advertisement. You can also download the AFCAT Application format from our website at the time of release of the advertisement.

GROUND DUTY BRANCHES

• The candidates applying for the Ground Duty Branches are to apply through the Air Force Common Admission Test ( AFCAT).
