According to the advisory, the IB has called for heightening security around police stations, check posts and camps and conducting area domination within five kilometres radius of these places. It also asked police jawans and officials to refrain from roaming alone in the region.

Sarika Faldesai, Judicial Magistrate First Class in Panaji, Goa, has issued a non-bailable arrest warrant against Tehelka Editor-in-Chief Tarun Tejpal, accused of sexually assaulting a journalist.
Police approached the magistrate with the request in this regard after Mr. Tejpal failed to appear before them by 3 p.m. , despite being summoned.
Police rejected Mr. Tejpal’s request for more time to appear before them as per the summons served on him earlier.
Three hours ahead of the deadline, Mr. Tejpal sent a fax message, seeking exemption from appearance on the plea that he needed time to travel to Goa.
It is learnt that Mr. Tejpal is planning to move a bail application in a sessions court in Goa. It is likely to be moved before a single-judge Bench (criminal matters) soon.
Earlier in the day, managing editor of Tehelka Shoma Chaudhury resigned from the post, saying she did not want questions raised about her integrity to tarnish the image of the weekly.

The Supreme Court has agreed to hear the bail plea of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad, who is undergoing a five-year jail term after being convicted in a fodder scam case, and sought response from CBI.
A bench of Chief Justice P. Sathasivam and Justice Ranjan Gogoi directed CBI, which is the prosecuting agency in the fodder scam case, to file its response within two weeks and posted the case for hearing to December 13.
Senior advocate Ram Jethmalani, appearing for Mr. Prasad, submitted that the RJD chief was one among the 44 accused convicted in the case but he is the only person whose bail plea was rejected by the trial court and the High Court.
