(Cut off) Constable (GD) in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), SSF, and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles Examination, 2024



Staff Selection Commission conducted Constable (GD) in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), SSF, and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles Examination, 2024 from 20.02.2024 to 07.03.2024 and 30.03.2024 in the Computer-Based Mode. The result of the Computer Based Examination was declared on 10.07.2024. A total of 3,51,176 candidates (Female- 39,440 and Male- 3,11,736) were shortlisted to appear in the next stage (i.e. PET/ PST of the Examination). 

2. In partial modifications made vide the Corrigendum No. HQ-C-3007/3/2024-C-3 dated 06.09.2024 to the relevant provisions contained in the Notice, dated 24.11.2023, of the Examination, the PST/PET & DV/DME/RME was conducted simultaneously in light of the decision taken by the MHA to minimize the period of the recruitment cycle and to expedite the recruitment process. 

3. The PET/ PST followed by DV/DME and RME was conducted by the CAPFs concerned from 23.09.2024 to 14.11.2024 under the purview of the Nodal CAPF i.e. CRPF.

4. A total of 46,617 vacancies have been considered for allocation to the following forces: -

i. A-BSF (Border Security Force)
ii. B-CISF (Central Industrial Security Force)
iii. C- CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force)
iv. D-SSB (Sashastra Seema Bal)
v. E-ITBP (Indo-Tibetan Border Police)
vi. F-AR (Assam Rifles)
vii. H-SSF (Secretariat Security Force)

5. As per the options exercised by the candidates at the time of the Online Application Form for consideration of their category, candidates belonging to SC, ST and OBC categories, on migration from the State/ UT of their origin to another State/ UT, have been considered in their respective reserved category if they have chosen to take benefit of reservation from the State/ UT of Origin. Otherwise, they have been considered as ‘UR’ candidates from the State/ UT of their domicile as per the provisions under Para 6.2 of the Notice of the Examination. 

6. In consonance with Para 12.1.5 of the Notice of the Examination, marks scored by candidates in the Computer-Based Examination have been normalized by using the formula published by the Commission through Notice No. 1-1/2018-P&P-I dated 07- 02- 2019 and such normalized scores along with the bonus marks for NCC Certificate holders have been used to determine final merit and post-wise and category-wise cutoff marks. 

7. The Select list has been prepared as per All India vacancies and State-wise vacancies with further reservation for candidates of Border Districts/ Naxal or Militancy affected Districts within the State. Further, as per para 14.17, candidates belonging to naxal/ militancy affected areas have been first considered against the vacancies of naxal/ militancy affected areas and then against the vacancies of general areas. Similarly, candidates belonging to border areas have been first considered against the vacancies of border area and then against the vacancies of general area. Candidates belonging to both areas i.e. naxal/ militancy affected area as well as border area have been first considered against the vacancies of naxal/ militancy affected area followed by the vacancies border area and general area respectively. Allocation to SSF or CAPFs has been done as per merit cum preference of the candidates, subject to availability of vacancies in State/ UT concerned, reservation for Border district and Naxal/ Militancy affected districts and category-wise reservation.. 

8. Category-wise (0-EWS, 1-SC, 2-ST, 3-ESM, 6-OBC and 9-UR) break-up of the candidates provisionally selected for appointment in SSF, CAPFs and Assam Rifles are as follows: -

9. Category-wise details of vacancies, number of candidates selected and cut-off details of the last selected candidates against various vacancies are as follows: - 

i. Annexure-I: Female candidates selected against All-India vacancies of SSF.
ii. Annexure-II: Female candidates selected against State/ UT-wise vacancies of  CAPFs.
iii. Annexure-III: Male candidates selected against All-India vacancies of SSF.
iv. Annexure-IV: Male candidates selected against State/UT-wise vacancies of  CAPFs.

10. As per Para 15 of the Notice of the examination, in the event of tie in scores of candidates in the Computer Based Examination (including NCC bonus marks), such cases have been resolved by applying the following criteria, one after another in the given order, till the tie is resolved. 

i. Marks in Part-A of Computer Based Examination.
ii. Marks in Part-B of Computer Based Examination.
iii. Date of Birth, with older candidates placed higher.
iv. Alphabetical order of names.

11. Vacancies have been kept reserved in respect of following 17 candidates due to the various court orders: -

12. The recommendations of 08 candidates bearing Roll No. 2201109995,4206033791, 2201154248, 4205054818, 1404029690, 5111002237, 1404002687 and 5601007688 shall be subject to the outcome of the Court cases.

13. The final results of 845 candidates have been kept withheld due to court orders/suspected malpractices.

14. In view of the above, the Select list of male and female candidates, who are provisionally selected for appointment to various CAPFs based on the Constable (GD) in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), SSF, and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles Examination, 2024, are as follows: -

i. List-1: List of 4818 female candidates provisionally recommended for appointment.
ii. List-2: List of 38603 male candidates provisionally recommended for appointment.
iii. List-3: List of 845 candidates whose candidature has been kept withheld.

15. If a candidate is finally selected and does not receive any communication from the concerned User Department within a period of six months after the declaration of the final result, he/she must bring this to the Notice of the User Department immediately thereafter.

16. Any appointment will be subject to the result of WP(MD) No. 24587 of 2024 titled A. Abbas Ali V/s UOI & Others and W.P. (MD) 24629 of 2024 titled K. Vasanth V/s UOI & Others before the Hon’ble High Court of Madras. 

17. The result of 1679 candidates has not been processed as the respective Regional Offices of the Commission have informed that these candidates have been debarred from the examination of the Commission and few candidates have been identified as per the existing debarment database on the Commission’s website. The roll numbers of all these 1679 candidates are given as List-IV. 

18. No Reserve List/ Waiting List are prepared by the Commission. Unfilled vacancies in the final result and vacancies arising out of the non-joining of selected candidates or any other reason will be carried forward to the next year's recruitment cycle by the concerned User Departments (i.e., CAPFs). 

19. The detailed marks of all selected and not-selected candidates will be uploaded on the website of the Commission in due course.
