(Info) SSC Extended age limit and removed number of attempts criteria for CSS
Those who wanted to work as Assistant in Cabinet Secretariat Services but either has exhausted the entire limit or has crossed the age limit, can take little breath as the Department of Personnel The Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, Government of India on 20th May has issued a notification regarding amendments to Central Secretariat Service Assistants' Grade (Direct Recruitment Competitive Examination) Regulations, 2010.
As per the notice, the DoPT is considering amending the
Central Secretariat Service Assistants' Grade (Direct Recruitment Competitive
Examination) Regulations, 2010 to increase the upper age limit for direct
recruitment of Assistants from the present 27 years to 30 years. In addition, it
is also considering removing the restrictions on the number of attempts in the
competitive examination for the direct recruitment of candidates to this Grade.
Assistant post is one of the prominent post in the CSS. Typing Test will be held
by SSC for this post. An Assistant in CSS can be promoted to the next post - SO
(Group-B Gazetted Officer) in two ways- one by taking departmental exam and
passing it which will held after 05 year of service so after 06 years one can
get his first promotion and secondly one can normally gets promotion after 10
years of service.
