Applications are invited from the eligible Indian citizens for the post of Telecom Technical Assistant (TTA) in the non-executive category in BSNL,T.N.Circle. Selection of candidates will be through a Competitive Examination to be held on 30.06.2013. The number of vacancies to be filled up in the SSAs (Secondary Switching Areas) of Tamilnadu Telecom Circle are as under.

Salary : Rs.13600-25420
Age Limit: The candidates should be between 18 and 27 years of age on the closing date for receipt of applications i.e 13.05.2013.
Education Qualification: Applicants must possess, as on the last date of receiving applications the following educational qualifications from a recognized institute/University:-

Three years Engineering Diploma in Telecommunications Engineering / Electronics Engineering/ Electrical Engineering / Radio Engineering / Computer Engineering / Instrument Technology / Information technology

M.Sc (Electronics) from a recognized Institution / University.
Mode of selection:
The Telecom Technical Assistant (TTA) is a SSA cadre. Selection will be through a competitive Examination followed by a medical test. Appointment will be subject to police verification, successful completion of training and other usual formalities. Candidates are required to submit application for one SSA only. Option once exercised for SSA shall be final

Minimum Qualifying marks in the paper will be 40 % for the candidates of unreserved communities and 33 % for the candidates of SC/ST/OBC category.

The minimum passing marks in each of the three parts of the paper will be 30% for OC and 20% for SC/ST/OBC category

Relaxation of 2% in marks will be given to the Physically Handicapped Candidates in each category ( SC-PH , ST – PH, OBC – PH, OC – PH).

There will be negative marking. For each wrong answer 25% of mark of that question will be deducted
Syllabus for Examination:
The syllabus of the examination will be as enclosed in Annexure-A. There shall be only one Paper of 200 marks having multiple choice objective type of three hours duration with the following details

Fee Payable and Mode of Payment :
An examination fee of Rs.500/- is payable in the form of demand draft drawn in favour of Accounts Officer of the concerned SSA as per the address(es) shown below in the table and should be enclosed with the application Form .
How To Apply:
The specimen of the application form is enclosed. The same may be neatly typed . The envelop containing the application form duly filled should be superscribed as “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF TELECOM TECHNICAL ASSISTANT UNDER DIRECT RECRUITMENT -2012” in bold letters on top of the envelope. The applications complete in all respect along with the draft drawn towards examination fee should be sent by Regd Post/Speed Post/by Hand to the SSA concerned.
