Special Recruitment Drive For (Scheduled Tribes) Navik (General Duty)

Applications are invited from male Indian nationals (ST category only) possessing educational qualifications and age, as prescribed below, for recruitment to the post of Navik (General Duty) in the Indian Coast Guard, an Armed Force of the Union.

Navik (General Duty)

Total Posts: 52

Qualification: 10+2 with Maths and Physics From an education board recognised by Central/State Government.

Age Limit: Born Between 01 Feb 85 to 31 Jan 94. (05 Years age relaxation included)

Pay, Perks And Others Benefits :

  • Pay Scale Rs 5200 –20200 along with Rs 2000 Grade Pay. In addition Dearness Allowance, Kit Maintenance Allowance and other liberal allowances will be admissible.

Selection Process

Selection of candidates is based on the order of merit depending on their performance in Written Test, Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and Fitness in the Initial Medical Examinations.

How To Apply

  • Applications can be downloaded from the Indian Coast Guard website www.indiancoastguard.nic.in.
  • The application is to be submitted on plain paper in the form appended below (type written/hand written in English/Hindi) and is to be sent to the address of Zonal recruitment centre.
  • The choice of centre and percentage of marks 12th for Navik(GD) board examination is to be clearly written on the top of the envelop.
  • Attested copies (not returnable) of certificates as proof of age, educational qualifications including statement of marks, caste certificate (ST) as per Govt. of India format), NCC, Sports and a self-addressed (unstamped) envelop of size 22x10 cms are to be attached with the application. All enclosures must be pinned/tagged with the application.
  • Character certificate (issued six months prior to exam/interview)
  • Candidates should be prepared to stay for 02/03 days at test centers under own arrangements. No daily allowance will be admissible.
  • Candidates are required to submit one additional recent colored passport size photograph along with the application.
  • Call up letters for eligible short listed candidates will be posted, indicating date time and place for recruitment tests.
