Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI)

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI Authority) has been set up by Government under Chairmanship of Shri. Nandan Nilkani with a mandate to issue Unique ID Number to every resident of the country. UIDAI will own and operate the UID database and be responsible for its updation and maintenance on an ongoing basis.

The Authority is in the process of filling up various posts on deputation basis for its Regional Office at Mumbai. In the event suitable serving officers are not available retired govt. Servants may be considered for engagement as consultants. The details of the position and the required and desired qualifications are given in Annexure I

The initial period of deputation shall be for three years extendable by a further period of two years as per GOI, DOPT OM No.2/29/91-Estt(Pay-II) dated 5.1.1994 as amended from time to time read with DOPT’s OM No. AB 14017/30/2006-Estt (RR) dated 29.11.2006.

The serving officials appointed in the UIDAI will be eligible for General pool Residential Accommodation at par with Central Government employees at Mumbai

Section Officer

  • Number of Posts: 02
  • Pay Scale: 9300-34800 + GP 4800
  • Field of Selection: From the serving or retired Officers in Central Government/State Government/ PSUs/Autonomous Bodies
  • Eligibility: Holding or held equivalent post in the same scale of pay in the parent organisation or having five years of working experience at least in the scale of Rs.9300-34800+4200 or equivalent
  • Desired Qualification / experience: Two year of experience in Administration /Establishment/ budgeting/procurement, planning and policy formulation of Government schemes and projects Excellent computer skills.

Assistants

  • Number of Posts: 02
  • Pay Scale: 9300-34800 + GP 4200
  • Field of Selection: From the serving or retired Officers in Central Government/State Government/ PSUs/Autonomous Bodies
  • Eligibility: Holding or held equivalent post in the same scale of pay in the parent organisation or having five years of working experience at least in the scale of Rs.5200-20200+2400 or equivalent
  • Desired Qualification / experience: Excellent drafting , typing skills. Proficiency in computers . Experience in handling Administrative matters

Private Secretary

  • Number of Posts: 01
  • Pay Scale: 9300-34800 + GP 4200
  • Field of Selection: From the serving or retired Officers in Central Government/State Government/ PSUs/Autonomous Bodies
  • Eligibility: Holding or held analogous post in the same scale of pay in the parent organisation or having five years of working experience at least in the scale of Rs.9300-34800 + 4200 or equivalent
  • Desired Qualification / experience: Good stenographic and typing skills Proficiency in handling computers.

Personal Assistant

  • Number of Posts: 05
  • Pay Scale: 9300-34800 + GP 4200
  • Field of Selection: From the serving or retired Officers in Central Government/State Government/ PSUs/Autonomous Bodies
  • Eligibility: Holding or held analogous post in the same scale of pay in the parent organisation or having five years of working experience at least in the scale of Rs.9300-34800 + 4200 or equivalent
  • Desired Qualification / experience: Good stenographic and typing skills Proficiency in handling computers.

Important Instructions

  1. Applicants must have extensive work experience in Maharashtra, Gujarat, or Goa
  2. Applicants must have good command over English language and one of the State languages - Marathi, Gujarathi & Konkani
  3. Applicant who has retired should not be more than 62 years on the 1.4.2011. Retired officer when selected will be appointed as Consultants of equivalent level and will be accordingly given responsibilities.
  4. For serving or retired officers of PSUs and autonomous bodies, the pay scale equivalence shall be determined by the UIDAI based on duties and responsibilities attached to their posts held by them at the time of their retirement. The decision of Deputy Director General, RO, Mumbai shall be final in this regard.

How To Apply

  • A vacancy circular for various positions in UIDAI is attached herewith. It is requested that the applications of eligible candidates who can be spared immediately in the event of their selection may be forwarded to UIDAI Regional Office Mumbai in the Performa as per Annexure – II along with duly attested photocopies of ACRs and vigilance clearance of the applicants.
  • Retired officers from Central Govt. /State Governments/ Central or State PSUs/ Central or state Autonomous Bodies can also apply. Their application & complete bio data should accompany the attested copies of Pension Pay Order. The retired officers when selected will be engaged as consultants which will be initially for a period of 2 years which can be extendable for 1 more year on the basis of requirement & performance. However, on the event of joining of a regular incumbent the period of contract will be terminated with one month’s notice. The consultant fees will be regulated as per the existing provisions of Govt. Of India.
