(Final Result) SSC Stenographers Grade 'C' and 'D' Examination - 2023
The Staff Selection Commission declared the result of Computer Based Examination of Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and ‘D’ Examination, 2023 on 24.11.2023. In the said result, a total of 3596 candidates were declared qualified for appearing in Stenography Skill Test for the post of Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and 18299 candidates were declared qualified for appearing in Stenography Skill Test for the post of Stenographer Grade ‘D’. 1901 candidates appeared in the Stenography Skill Test for the post of Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and 9947 candidates appeared in the Stenography Skill Test for the post of Stenographer Grade ‘D’.
2. As per provisions of the Notice of the said Examination, Document Verification (DV) would be done by the Indenting/User Departments. Accordingly, in accordance with the Notice No. HQ-PPII010/1/2023-PP_II (E-3789) dated 30.01.2024 of the Commission, Option-cum-preference has been taken online from 30.01.2024 to 02.02.2024 from the candidates, who had appeared in Stenography Skill Test Examination. Accordingly, 8702 candidates who have submitted their preference online have been considered for further selection process.
3. Commission has fixed the category wise cut-off on percentage of error/ mistakes allowed in Skill Test as under:
(i) Stenographer Grade ‘C’: up to 5% mistakes for UR and up to 7% mistakes for all reserved category candidates.
(ii) Stenographer Grade ‘D’: up to 7% mistakes for UR and up to 10% mistakes for all reserved category candidates.
4. As per the provisions of Notice of Examination, allocation of Posts and Departments has been made on the basis of merit-cum-‘order of preference’ of ‘Posts/Departments’ submitted by the candidates online. Subject to their qualifying in the Document Verification to be conducted by the respective User Departments, candidates have been provisionally shortlisted for the post of Stenographer Grade ‘C’ &’D’ in different Ministry/ Departments/ Offices as given below:

6. Resolution of Tie Cases:
In case where more than one candidate secured the equal aggregate marks in the Computer Based Examination (CBE), tie has been resolved by applying the following methods one after another in the given order till the tie is resolved:
(a) Marks in Part-I (i.e. General Intelligence & Reasoning).
(b) Marks in Part-II (i.e. General Awareness)
(c) Date of birth, with older candidate placed higher.
(d) Alphabetical order in which names of the candidates appear
7. Any discrepancy with respect to the selection/ non-selection/ allocation of post/ User Department, etc may be brought to the notice of the Commission within a period of one month. Any such representation received after one month will not be entertained by the Commission.
8. Post declaration of the final result of the Examination, further process of Document Verification and appointment formalities will be undertaken by the allocated Department to the shortlisted candidates. If a candidate does not receive any correspondence from the concerned allocated User Department within a period of six months from declaration of the final result, he/she must communicate immediately thereafter with the concerned User Department. Further, the Commission will not, in any circumstances, entertain any correspondences regarding Document Verification/appointment formalities from the shortlisted candidates.
9. The selection of candidates is purely provisional and it will be subject to their qualifying in document verification to be conducted by the user departments. The certificates/documents in support of their Educational Qualifications and Caste/Category, etc. shall be sought at the time of Document Verification by the Indenting User Departments/ Organizations. After scrutiny of the certificates/ documents of EQs/ caste/ category, etc., if any claim made in the application is not substantiated by certificates/ documents, the candidature of candidate will be cancelled.
10 No Reserve List/ Waiting List is prepared by the Commission. Unfilled vacancies in the final result and vacancies arising out of non-joining of shortlisted candidates will be carried forward to the next year by the concerned Departments/Organisations.
11. Detailed marks of the qualified/non-qualified candidates will be made available on the website of the Commission shortly.
