The Staff Selection Commission conducted above examination on 15.07.2012 for making additions to the select list for Gr. „C‟ Stenographers of following services/cadres :-

  1. Central Secretariat Stenographers Service Grade - C
  2. Stenographers Cadre of Indian Foreign Service (B) Grade- II;
  3. Armed Forces Headquarters Stenographers Service Grade- C;
  4. Railway Board Secretariat Stenographers Service Grade- C;
  5. Election Commission of India Stenographers Service Grade- C;
  6. Central Vigilance Commission Stenographers Service Grade- C;
  7. Central Administrative Tribunal
  • Out of 180 registered candidates, 158 appeared in the said examination. 04 candidates were rejected/awarded Zero marks, as per instructions given in front page of  OMR Sheet leaving 154 candidates for consideration.

  • Following are the details of 150 candidates who have qualified in the written part of Stenographers Grade “C” Limited Departmental Examination , 2012 and are eligible for being called for skill Test in Stenography on Computer in Hindi or English :-

  • The list therein is PROVISIONAL. The candidates whose Roll Nos. figure in the list would be called for Skill Test subject to their fulfilling all the eligibility conditions requirements as prescribed for the post in the Notice of the Examination and also subject to through verification of their identity with reference to their photograph, signature, handwriting etc. on the application forms, admission certificate etc. If on verification from the application form, it is found that any candidate does not fulfill any of the eligibility conditions, he/she will not be called for the Skill Test.

  • The category status in respect of candidates belonging to reserved categories has been indicated along with their roll numbers. It is important for such candidates for  whom certain percentage of vacancies are reserved as per the policy of the Govt., to note that some of them may have been declared qualified for the Skill Test in the category mentioned against their roll numbers. If any candidates does not actually belong to the category mentioned against his/her roll numbers, he/she may not be eligible to be called for the Skill Test. If any candidate's  finds a mismatch between his/her name and roll numbers, he/she must bring it to the notice of the Northern Region of the Commission immediately. It is also in the interest of the candidates concerned to contact the Northern Regional office, New Delhi, in all such cases where they do not  belong to the category shown against their roll numbers. Category shown in the result is as per data forwarded by northern Regional Office.

  • Tentatively, the Skill Test is expected to be held sometimes in September, 2012 and the schedule of Skill Test will be made available on the Commission's Northern Regional (NR)'s website soon. Qualified eligible candidates who do not receive the Admission Certificate for Skill Test within one week before the said Skill Test should immediately thereafter contact the Northern Regional Office of the Commission.

  • The result is also available on SSC's website http://ssc.nic.in. Marks of all candidates who appeared in Written Examination are also available on the website for information of the candidates.
